FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most common questions about Microsoft Teams on Wendesk.
What does the Microsoft Teams integration do in Wendesk?
It creates a meeting link in Teams directly from a CRM deal or contact, logs completed meetings as CRM activities, and posts deal-stage change alerts to specified Teams channels via Microsoft Graph webhooks.
How does Wendesk authenticate with Microsoft Teams?
Wendesk uses OAuth 2.0 via Microsoft Graph. You authorise access with your Microsoft 365 account, and Wendesk stores the access and refresh tokens encrypted with AES-256-GCM.
Can Teams channel notifications be filtered by deal stage or team member?
Yes. In the integration settings you can choose which pipeline stages trigger a Teams notification and target a specific channel per pipeline, keeping irrelevant noise out of general channels.
Does the integration work with personal Microsoft accounts?
No. The Microsoft Graph API requires a Microsoft 365 Business or Enterprise subscription. Personal Outlook.com accounts are not supported.
How often are Microsoft Graph webhooks renewed?
Microsoft Graph subscriptions expire after roughly 60 minutes for Teams. Wendesk automatically renews them in the background so your notifications never drop silently.
